Happy Friday y’all! Weekends can be a time where we, including myself, tend to indulge or even binge a bit more than usual, especially if there is a special event taking place. It seems like every weekend I’ve had lately has had a special event, including this weekend where I have a wedding and rehearsal dinner. I don’t know why but my brain tells me that I can eat whatever I want. This weekend, I want to consciously make the decision to eat the way that will make me feel good. Not in a diet mindset but in a mindset of what I know will not make me bloat, feel sluggish, or make me sick to my stomach. Do you struggle with this as well? For sure!!! The struggle is real!!! I've always equated vacation with a foodie adventure so that's a tough habit to break. I've got a mini vacation coming up in a couple weeks and trying to get my mind right. First vacation since starting keto a few weeks ago. 😱

I struggle with special events for sure. Last weekend I had a very “off” day for a fourth celebration and my body could tell. The taste of the “bad” food is just not worth the days that it takes for me to get back to feeling good again!

I do struggle with this as week. And with many bbq’s and birthdays and vacations, I haven’t been as strict with what I eat and it is beginning to effect me (the lbs going up/the bloat etc) Working hard today to be very mindful of everything I put in my mouth

I also agree that focusing on the eating foods that make your body feel good instead of “I’m on a diet and can’t have ....” really helps. I finally saw some movement on the scale today after not weighing for the last month because the weekly weigh ins were messing with my head. Also trying to focus on the NSV’s so I don’t get discouraged. You look great and good luck sticking to it this weekend!
