“I’m eating in a calorie deficit but I’m not losing weight”
I’ve heard this more than a few times
Even people who are tracking their calories often think they are in a deficit when they are not. Bites, licks, snacks, incorrect logging, forgotten drinks, those weekend calories that don’t count ;)...these can sneak up on you in a dastardly way
Pretty soon your 500 calorie deficit doesn’t exist anymore, and you feel stuck. You’re trying to eat better and workout but it feels like you’re getting nowhere
What’s the solution? Dial the heck in. The basics work. Strength training. Tracking calories and protein. Staying hydrated. Getting enough sleep. Being active daily. If these aren’t working it’s because you’re not being patient enough or you haven’t dialed in fully
Calories are king. If you’re not losing weight, that’s your issue. You’re not an exception to this
Don’t try to do it all on your own, either. Get support. Get accountability. Get a coach if you feel stuck in the same cycle over and over again
Do what works in a way that works for you, and stick with it. Rugged repetition

So true. I’ve downloaded under armor record and my fitness pal . These have helped me immensely. Not only does it track the calories but also helps with calories burnt in workouts . My recommendation is downloading them and seeking help like @marcus__rice says. Meal prep is also important too which I provide
Yes and I have found that many people don’t know what their maintenance calories are because they have never tracked and recorded their weight and calories, so they just guess and think they are in a deficit. And also some expect instant results but fat loss is a slow process 👍🏻

Food is always my downfall 😞 I calorie count, weigh my food and then I eat 3 bags of crisps/potato chips. I know what I should do but don’t seem to actually be able to do it. But your advice always reminds me of what I should/can do! Thank you.
