It’s the most wonderful time of the year... if you let it be. If you’re going to quit your diet/skip the gym this holiday season, then that’s your prerogative. if you’re going to bring your healthy meals to family functions/bail out of events due to your “regimented lifestyle,” that’s your choice as well. Personally I believe these are both on the “extreme” end of the spectrum and there’s a happy medium between the two—fit your workouts in when you can, but otherwise schedule a rest day. Enjoy fun foods, but every meal shouldn’t be a “free for all” because it’s holiday season. and if you choose to indulge, there is no need to race back for seconds (or thirds) just because it’s there. Despite knowing this, we all make the occasional poor decision we’d rewind and change if we could... but we can’t! So what’s the point of feeling guilty? None of us are perfect & its a waste of time and energy to dwell over your mistakes. Instead, learn from your shortcomings to ensure you don’t repeat them—that’s the only way you’ll grow. 🦋✨ @melissakerman melissakerman
