QUESTION OF THE DAY: is bodybuilding/having physique goals vain? In short, I choose no. There’s a lot I could write about this, but I’ll do my best to keep it brief... You only have one body. It’s the one you laugh, cry, pray, dance, work, make love, perhaps raise a family, & journey the earth in. We are literally locked in this thing until our time here runs out. So how could we NOT foster a desire to experience this shell in form that pleases us? It’s human nature! I definitely don’t think “self-love” should be contingent on your appearances. But if you know losing that extra 15 lbs/adding a bit of definition will grant you the confidence to smile at strangers, buy that dress you’ve been eyeing, participate in work events, run outside with your children, don’t you owe it yourself to give it a shot? The most motivating aspect of any fitness journey is progress, and after even the slightest taste, you’ll be hungry for more. That’s the foundation that creates passion for the lifestyle. Changes don’t occur overnight, but have ANY goals you’ve accomplished been? The time you spend wishing instead of working only prolongs your results... So you may as well start today👊🏼#motivationmonday @melissakerman melissakerman

I like that last sentence where you stated the time you spend wishing instead of working only prolongs your results that is a great motivation phrase should make a sign of that.
