❌HOW TO: TRICEP PUSHDOWN❎
👉🏼Bringing your elbows up in front of you and use your entire arm to push down.
Why: Doing this will make the “tricep” part of “tricep pushdown” completely irrelevant bc you are using your entire arm to push down instead of isolating your tricep muscles.
👉🏼Arch your back
Why: causes unnecessary strain on your lower back. Your back should not hurt at all from doing a tricep pushdown.
❎ Do this:
👉🏼Keep your elbows tucked into the sides of your rib cage at ALL times
Why: this helps to isolate the tricep muscle (the muscle we’re trying to work) by disengaging the rest of the arm
👉🏼Fully extend your arms at the bottom of the pushdown in order to fully contract your tricep muscles
👉🏼Exhale as you push down, inhale as you return to starting position from the bottom of the pushdown
💙Tag a friend who would find this helpful bc friends don’t let other friends lift incorrectly.
